Furniture Delivery Costs

Furniture can be delivered to most addresses in the UK for £45.00 per item. Additional charges are payable for deliveries above first floor level or those requiring more than two delivery crew or a small van transfer or other exceptional circumstances.

Items over £47.99 will cost £9.95 per item.
Items under £47.98 will cost £4.95 per item.
NB: Accessories will be delivered free of charge with furniture items.

Furniture Delivery Information

Once we have received your deposit we will send you an order acknowledgement with an estimated delivery week. Please check the order acknowledgement carefully to ensure that we build the items to the correct size and specification. Delivery dates are not guaranteed but we will do our utmost to ensure goods are delivered within the stated date or soon afterwards.

The week prior to delivery you will be offered a delivery day based on our carrier’s availability in your area. If you cannot accept the date offered this might delay your delivery. Our carrier will call approximately two days prior to the agreed delivery date to confirm the day and an estimated time.

We use an Edinburgh removal company to deliver furniture. Their uniformed 2 man crews are fully trained to take all necessary care to ensure furniture entry into your home is trouble free. The delivery crew will not attempt delivery where damage to your home may result; neither will they remove doors or windows.

We are sorry but our carriers will not assemble furniture for you.
An adult must be available at the address to sign and acknowledge receipt and acceptance of the furniture. All furniture will be delivered to the room of your choice and placed where you want it.

If you are unable to be present for an arranged delivery and do not advise us 48 hours in advance, a £50.00 charge may be levied. We reserve the right to charge for storage costs and redelivery if we have to store your furniture or bring it back because you have been unable to accept delivery.

Some large items such as multiple bookcases, wardrobes and some kitchen base units come in separate parts and may need some on-site joining of these parts - however these will all have been pre drilled and joined in the workshop and full fittings and instructions will be supplied. Beds come as headboard, footboard, sides and slats; fixings and instructions for these will be in your customer care pack. Cabinet furniture has hidden adjustable feet to allow levelling - full instructions for these are in your care pack. The Beech Kitchen Trolley comes flat packed.

Maintenance of wooden work tops

Please note that wooden work tops require regular maintenance to stay in good condition especially around sinks. Oil should be applied once a day for the first week, twice a week for the first month and thereafter once a week. We do not advise draining directly on to the work top. Although we offer a set/7 draining grooves in wood they are largely cosmetic and we would suggest using a draining board with integral tray. We can not accept liability for poorly maintained work tops or damage caused by faulty plumbing or the effects of excessive, temperature, moisture, sunlight or chemicals. Full care instructions will be included in your customer care pack.
